Check it Out! Fernando’s the GW Little Fan of the Week!!!
Oh my goodness, I’m just soooooo excited right now, I’m literally bouncing in my seat! :-D
This morning, when I logged into Facebook, I received the most wonderful surprise! My sweet little Fernando was chosen as G.W. Little’s “Fan of the Week”! Woohoooo!!! Isn’t that amazing?!
And just look at that face! Isn’t he regal? Suave? Debonair? {*Giggles*} Yes, I truly love my little prince. He makes me so happy. :)
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to take him to the pet store around the corner and get him a treat to celebrate his “big” win! :)

Daybook Entry
To participate in this weekly meme, please click here.
FOR TODAY...
Outside my window... pouring rain. Welcome to Washington in January! :)
I am thinking... how I really tend to bite off more than I can chew, thinking I can handle anything and everything that comes my way. Then I get overwhelmed and frustrated and it's all my fault. (I'm laughing on the inside. Really.)
I am thankful for... a job that allows me to work from home, friends who listen to me whine more often than they should, and a husband who works hard despite the fact that he's sick and should probably be in bed.
I am wearing... workout clothes.
I am remembering... my growing To Do list and the fact that by doing this silly daybook entry I'm once again procrastinating. (Ahem)
I am going... to battle the weather later and pick up some cheap groceries, then this evening it's off to Abby's ballet class.
I am currently reading... a review book (Ultimate Guide to Homeschooling) and the latest "brain candy" novel from Jane Porter. Love her!
I am hoping... that today goes well in spite of my growing negative attitude. Although that seems like a serious contradiction in terms! :)
On my mind... as always, way too much! LOL
Noticing that... the sun doesn't fully rise until about 8am and begins to set around 4pm.
Pondering these words... "If you want a workout that gives results, you're gonna have to earn it!"
From the kitchen... well, I have nothing going on in there yet. But at least everything's clean for the moment. :)
Around the house... judging by the sound of the rain? I suspect plenty of puddles! :)
One of my favorite things... a day where I have absolutely nothing going on. An elusive occurance, to be sure. But at the same time, I dispise being bored.
From my picture journal...

Fernando's New Bed
Ok, so it's not actually his bed but he sure thinks it is! Ha ha!
He fits perfectly inside Abby's pink plush Build-A-Bear car. He just waltzes on in like he owns the thing, curls up, and starts snoring. :) It's absolutely adorable! I just love my baby dog....

Fernando's First Bath
Fernando Knightley received his first "home spa treatment" last week. A little dab of Herbal Essences combined with a dab of Garnier Fructis Shampoo, and he was smelling fresh and lookin' fluffy!
He did very well in his bath, and didn't give me any trouble. Until I tried to blow dry him! Then all bets were OFF! Ahem...
He instead employed the "doggy air-dry technique" by squirreling about in circles for awhile. (Sooo cute!) Anyone care to come over and give him a kiss? He's silky smooth and smells like fruit!

This is How You Say "Happy Birthday" to Me in Spanish....
CHIHUAHUA!!!!!!!!!
Here is my completely unexpected birthday present from my very thoughtful husband!
May I introduce, Sir Fernando Knightley, Esq.
Yes, "Fernando" as in the Abba song, and "Knightley" is for Mr. Knightley in Jane Austen's, Emma. Of course, "Esquire" doesn't have any particular meaning for me; other than the fact that it's really fun to say! :o)
Fernando's a long-haired chihuahua, who will soon be as spoiled as Target's pet aisle can provide!
He's a fiesty little sweetheart who loves to chase his tail, cuddle, give TONS of kisses, and be carried like a baby. (Because as you can clearly see, he's not a d-o-g. Ahem.)
I'm also pleased to report that the wee gentleman's doing very well on his potty training, as he's already familiar with his crate and papers. (Woohoo!)
So, happy birthday to me! I finally got my Fernando!!!
Everybody sing it! "...There was something in the air that night; the stars were bright. FERNANDO!"
