Fit Mommy Friday - Challenge Week 1
I'm very excited with the strong turn-out the Fit Mommy Challenge has received! It's inspiring to see so many of you jump back in the game and work to finish the year off strong. :)
So, how was everyone's first week? Were you been able to stick to your goals/plans fairly easily? I've been so impressed with how many of you are posting on Facebook or sending private emails to me about your progress. Keep it up! :)
My week has gone really well. I've worked out 5 days this week focusing on variety and intensity:
Monday: The Biggest Loser: Bootcamp (I haven't used this video in forever and it killed me!)
Tuesday: Jillian Michaels' "No More Trouble Zones" (Really hurt after Monday's workout...ouch)
Wednesday: Winsor Pilates Accelerated Workout (Still sore, but not too bad.)
Thursday: Cardio--exercise bike for 45 mins (Okay, yeah. I'm back to being sore. Time to sit 'n be fit!)
Friday: Cardio -- exercise bike for 60 mins. (See Thursday...)
And thanks to not eating past 6pm (as well as a fair amount of stress--but we won't get into that), I've lost 2 pounds. Neat!!! My nutrition has been better--not perfect, but certainly better. I haven't had any Reese's peanut butter cups (which is saying a lot, considering they're on sale absolutely everywhere right now!), been drinking a considerable amount of water, and--drum roll, please--going easy on the chai. (Yes, it hurts.)
I realized to my shock and horror, that I've failed to actually post my challenge goals. Although I'm exempt from winning the prize, I still have a few goals I'd like to achieve. Here they are...
1. To firm up my middle abs (you know, the ones that are still kinda "soft and squishy" from having babies!). My obliques and lower abs are solid. It's just the darn middle part surrounding the ol' belly button that's got me irritated! ;-)
2. To firm up the back of my upper thighs and turn the "bulge" into muscle.
3. To lose 1 inch off my hips/waist.
Okay! That should just about do it. ;-)
Now get ready to link up and share your progress with the rest of us!
